French Eat Where

Family-Friendly

Family-friendly French restaurants are relaxed places with space, all-day hours and menus that work for children as well as adults, from café-bistros and bakeries to weekend trolley brunches. This list covers Singapore, Bali and Jakarta.

In Singapore, Le Petit Paris in Opera Estate serves farmhouse cooking, pastries and gelato from morning to night, Summer Hill near Orchard Road is known for its weekend Brunch Trolley, and The White Label on Jalan Sultan, which is halal, runs a weekend trolley buffet. La Table d'Emma on Club Street cooks Alsatian tarte flambée and family recipes. In Bali, La Cantine in Nyuh Kuning near Ubud has a pool table and kids' corner, and in Jakarta, Levant Boulangerie in Cipete pairs sourdough with an all-day French kitchen.

Weekend brunch is the busiest time, so book ahead for larger groups and ask for high chairs when you reserve. Earlier sittings are usually quieter with young children. Dress is casual. Prices are mostly mid-range.
