Summer Hill sits on the second floor of Claymore Connect, the mall side of the Orchard Hotel building. Daylight pours through big windows onto tiled tables and mismatched chairs, and the place feels more like a neighbourhood bistro than a mall restaurant.
The à la carte menu is built on 'bons petits plats', smaller portions of French home cooking meant for mixing. Try smoked salmon rillettes, pâté de campagne, mussels Normandy or oyster stew, then larger plates such as Hanwoo beef bourguignon, lobster pot pie or seared foie gras with cherries and port. Duck fat potato pavé is the side to get. Monthly specials have included sole Dugléré and milk-fed veal chops.
Families come for the Brunch Trolley, where staff wheel round regional French dishes on Fridays and weekends (S$79++, S$39.50++ for children). A 45-minute Bistro Lunch set runs Tuesday to Thursday, and corkage is free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Book through Chope or WhatsApp. Park at the B2 mall lift lobby, not the hotel side.
Hours and prices change, so please confirm with the restaurant before you go.
