Levant started as an artisan boulangerie and grew into a full restaurant on a leafy lane in Cipete. Everything is baked in-house by hand: long-fermented sourdough, croissants made with imported Belgian butter, and the cakes and tarts in the front display. The relaxed dining room and terrace are open from breakfast until early evening.
Breakfast centres on the Omelette Mont Saint-Michel, brioche French toast and croque monsieur made on triple-decker brioche. Later in the day the French classics take over. Try the French onion soup with Comté, the bœuf bourguignon with mashed potato, the duck leg confit, moules marinières or a saffron bouillabaisse with rouille. Baguette sandwiches, quiches and a 250g cheese platter suit lighter appetites.
It works well for families, long weekend breakfasts and casual lunches, and there is a kids' corner on the menu. Most mains cost Rp135,000–200,000, and wine and speciality beers are served. Walk-ins are the norm; call or WhatsApp for larger groups. The Terogong branch is a bakery and pâtisserie only, and Levant also sells bread from a depot at Koi Kemang.
