Belon is Black Sheep Restaurants' take on a modern Parisian dining room, set on the first floor of a corner building on Elgin Street in Soho. It moved here in 2021 and holds one star in the 2026 Michelin Guide Hong Kong. Since mid-2025 the kitchen has been run by Mina Güçlüer, who trained under former head chef Matthew Kirkley.
The main event is the seven-course Sélection du Chef, with an optional wine pairing, alongside some à la carte choices. Dishes to look out for include the brioche topped with beef tartare and caviar, aged duck with apricot and bulgur, king crab with pomelo and citrus anglaise, and Dover sole with green asparagus and chartreuse. Expect clean, sauce-led French cooking built around seafood.
It suits a celebratory dinner for two or a small group who want a polished night out in Soho. Allow around HK$1,688 a head before wine. It opens for dinner only, so book ahead through the Black Sheep reservations system or by phone.
