Les Bouchons has served steak frites in Singapore since 2002, and its Robertson Quay outlet, called Rive Gauche, adds an outdoor terrace facing the Singapore River. Inside it keeps the look of a Parisian bistro, and the terrace is pet-friendly.
Steaks are the point: Black Angus ribeye with shallot butter, tenderloin with bordelaise or Wagyu picanha, each with salad and unlimited homemade fries. Start with French onion soup, Burgundy snails, beef tartare seasoned to order or roasted bone marrow on toast. Cassoulet with duck confit and Toulouse sausage, and couscous royal at weekends, give non-steak options, and crème brûlée or île flottante finish the meal.
Good for relaxed riverside dinners with friends, plus a weekday set lunch from Wednesday and happy hour from 6 to 8pm. The wine list is largely French and chosen by the owner. Book online or by WhatsApp. Other branches are Les Bouchons Ann Siang (the original) and Les Bouchons Rochester, with outlets in Johor and Kuala Lumpur.
