Claudine is the more relaxed sibling of Odette, created by chef Julien Royer with the Lo & Behold Group. The main dining room occupies a restored colonial chapel on Dempsey Hill, while La Terrace next door is a glasshouse serving lighter plates and gin and tonics.
The dinner menu leans on French home cooking. Begin with leeks vinaigrette, snails in garlic butter or a steak tartare mixed at the table, then move to coq au vin, vol-au-vent with sweetbreads and morels, or steak frites with béarnaise. Large plates for sharing include a Claudine bouillabaisse, Dover sole Grenobloise, a flambéed Kampot pepper ribeye and the chou farci, stuffed cabbage with foie gras that won a 2024 world championship.
It works well for families, birthdays and long weekend lunches, with a champagne brunch on Saturdays and Sundays and a lighter lunch menu on weekdays. Book through SevenRooms or WhatsApp. Celebration cakes need 72 hours' notice, and the venue also hosts weddings and private events.
