Le Quartier opened on Jalan Gunawarman in 2013 and has become a fixture for Kebayoran Baru residents and the business crowd. The white colonial-style building opens onto a long, busy dining room with a bar, chandeliers and tightly set tables, styled after the big brasseries of Paris and London. The owners are usually on the floor, and much of the team has been there for years.
The dinner menu leans firmly French. Start with Escargot Le Quartier, baked in garlic butter inside mushroom caps, or foie gras poêlé with blackcurrant sauce, then choose between moules marinière, coq au vin, confit de canard or a steak au poivre flambé with Belgian fries. Larger groups can share a chateaubriand or a 600g entrecôte. Finish with crêpe suzette or a soufflé made to order.
It suits business lunches, family dinners and anyone who wants a dependable French meal without ceremony. Breakfast starts at 7am daily, and there are Italian pastas and pizzas for less adventurous eaters. Book through the website form or WhatsApp. Its sister restaurants are CRÜ Corner Bistro in Kemang and Le Comptoir at Plaza Indonesia.
