AMUZ Gourmet occupies a corner of the second floor of the Energy Building in SCBD. It is led by founder and executive chef Gilles Marx, a Maître Cuisinier de France and president of the Disciples Escoffier in Indonesia. The dining room is in modern art deco style, with hand-painted chinoiserie wallpaper and white tablecloths, and wine is kept in a walk-in glass cellar.
The cooking is classic French with luxury ingredients. Signatures include lobster thermidor, a wagyu filet Rossini topped with foie gras and Périgourdine truffle jus, and a Dover sole meunière with spinach and steamed potatoes. In truffle season there is a porcini soup finished with black or white truffle. Chilled Alaskan king crab with asparagus vichyssoise makes a lighter start.
It is a natural choice for client lunches, anniversaries and wine dinners. The Bistro Lunch offers two, three or four courses at Rp350,000, Rp425,000 or Rp495,000 plus tax and service, a cheaper way to try the kitchen. AMUZ also runs regular guest-chef and wine-pairing dinners. Book by phone or WhatsApp (after 3pm), by email or through the website form. It is closed on Sundays.
