Parisi sits on Jalan Batur Sari, a residential lane just back from Sanur's main road, and has been feeding the area's French and long-stay crowd for several years. It is a relaxed, owner-run room with rustic wooden tables, open from early morning for croissants and eggs and staying busy until late evening.
The regular menu reads like a Paris neighbourhood bistro. Start with snails in garlic and parsley butter, homemade foie gras with brioche, or pork or duck rillettes, then move on to duck leg confit with Sarladaise potatoes, a four-hour boeuf bourguignon, beef tartare mixed at the table or an aged Bali beef fillet. Savoyard cheese fondue and a rotating cheese board show the kitchen's range, and the monthly specials add coq au vin and terrine de canard à l'Armagnac. Finish with île flottante, profiteroles or crème brûlée made with Bali vanilla.
It suits a casual dinner with friends or an unhurried breakfast rather than a big occasion. Prices are modest for French cooking in Bali, with mains from around Rp90,000 to Rp175,000 plus 15% tax and service. Book by WhatsApp; there are no other branches.
