Little Frenchie started in Pererenan as a sunny all-day bistro and has since grown into a second branch in Jakarta. The Bali original keeps a relaxed, bright feel, with a bakery counter, plenty of outdoor seating and a crowd that drifts from morning coffee to sunset cocktails.
Mornings are built around the bakery: butter croissants, pain perdu with caramelised banana, Frenchie's omelette and a croque madame with Parisian ham and Mornay sauce. Later in the day the menu turns to bistro dishes such as bone marrow, escargots in herb butter, quiche Lorraine, French onion soup and a jambon-beurre baguette. Mains include duck confit, coquelet, steak hâché au poivre, steak frites with chimichurri or peppercorn sauce, and a 72-hour short rib. Desserts run from profiteroles to coffee crème brûlée.
It works best for brunch with friends or an unhurried casual dinner, and children are easy to bring. Book online or via WhatsApp, and check the events page for specials. The sister restaurant is Little Frenchie Jakarta.
