Épure occupies the fourth floor of Ocean Centre in Harbour City, looking across Victoria Harbour to Hong Kong Island. The dining room is calm and formal, with a private room that has its own outdoor terrace. It holds one Michelin star in the 2026 Hong Kong guide, and chef de cuisine Aven Lau cooks contemporary French food with an eye on the seasons and the odd Asian accent.
Dinner is a tasting menu. Recent highlights include sea urchin with Jerusalem artichoke and nori, roasted Maine scallop with vinaigrette perle, and an aged rice duck à l'orange seasoned with aged tangerine peel and timut pepper. Classic luxuries such as foie gras, quail and slow-cooked poultry turn up in reworked form, and the French wine list is deep.
Book it for an anniversary, a proposal or a client dinner with a view. Lunch costs around HK$588 a head and dinner about HK$1,288, so the executive and degustation lunches are the gentler way in. The Blooms by Épure, next door, serves afternoon tea. Smart dress is expected.
